Preschool Program
Preschool Times
Your child can attend preschool for up to 15 hours per week. We will confirm your child’s group and session times after enrolment.
Group A

Monday and Tuesday 8.30am-3.15pm

Alternate Friday 8.30am-12pm
Group B

Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am-3.15pm

Fees
The parent contribution is $150 per term. See our Enrolment and Fees page for more information on paying fees.
What to bring
Children need to bring these items each day:
- bag
- broad-brimmed, legionnaire or sun-safe hat (without chin straps)
- change of clothes
- drink bottle containing water
- healthy snack
- packed lunch.
Please write your child’s name on all their belongings.
School library
We visit the school library on Fridays. Your child will need to bring their library bag to carry the books they borrow.
What not to bring
Children should not bring these things:
- food containing nuts (some children have nut allergies that can be dangerous)
- unhealthy food or drink (lollies, chocolate, chips, fizzy drinks)
- toys from home.
Transition to Kilkenny Primary School
We provide a play-based transition and buddy program with our junior primary school classes. Your child can meet the school teachers and other children in a safe, supportive environment.
Your child will join whole-school activities like book week, sports day, health hustle and assembly as part of their on‐going transition to school program.
Playgroup
Children birth to 5 years and their parents or caregivers can join the Kilkenny Primary School playgroup. Playgroup is an important part of our whole-school partnership. You and your child can meet other new families in a welcoming environment.
Nature Play SA
We use Nature Play SA experiences to develop new and exciting outdoor learning. Your child can enjoy fun activities while they engage with our natural world.
Paint the Westside REaD
We are a proud Paint the Westside REaD partner. We host visits from Lizzie the literacy lizard to learn about reading, talking, singing, rhyming and playing. Your child will receive a Lizzie library bag when they start at our preschool.
